FaZe beat Splyce 16-3 on de_inferno and sent the North Americans home after a comfortable match.
The second match of day 2 at MLG Columbus 2016 brought the European team FaZe and the North American side Splyce together on de_inferno. Both teams lost their first matches, FaZe to Liquid and Splyce to fnatic as they came to this match with their tournament lives on the line.
FaZe started on the T-side to kick the match off and their B take was successful thanks to an entry frag by Håvard "rain" Nygaard. Splyce managed to get three kills on the second round and kept their opponents humble in terms of economy. Arya "arya" Hekmat & co. also got the first kill on the fourth round but FaZe, unfazed, went on to take the A-site and extended their lead to 4-0.
jkaem found his form against Splyce after a rough first day
Comfortable rounds kept coming FaZe's way as Ricardo "fox" Pacheco got a double-entry with his AWP to bring it to 8-0 and the unexperienced North American squad could not find a solution. Splyce's answer came after a timeout and they grabbed their first round but lost the following one despite a 5v3 advantage (10-1). A force-buy and a single armorless AWP worked for David "DAVEY" Stafford's team in the following round but the half ended 12-3 in favor of FaZe.
Losing the pistol round and the subsequent one was the end of Splyce's journey as FaZe finished it off 16-3.
